. >> reporter: beth parker, fox 5 news. >>> thanks so much for joining us. the news continues now. here's brian bolter with the news edge at 11:00. >> fire tears through a neighborhood in 7 level ising three huge homes and damaging several -- a virginia neighborhood leveling three homes and damaging several others. the flames broke out this afternoon on tillett loop and manassas leaving charred piles of debris behind. fox 5's bob barnard live at the scene with the latest. >> reporter: eight hours after the first flames were spotted fire crews are still here and working, the remains of three houses here still smoldering and they just put some water on some of these smoking spots a short time ago. in the middle there where it's believed this thing started, that house burned to the ground. this view from sky fox shows you the devastating nature of this fire, three homes side by side up in flames, scores of firefighters virtually powerless to stop it before the damage was done. investigators believe the fire started in the middle house, then quickly spread in both directions. >> it's b
